It would be nice to be able to leave our doors open, but sadly that it is not possible in these days.
When asked about the location of St Edmund's Church people need the "Funny Round-a-bout" land mark to just help them locate the church.
(The road looks peaceful in this photo, but it does get "Funny" if that is the right word).
Our Neighbour is the Al-Furqan Primary School & Community College. The first state funded Islamic school in the UK.
The industry that was once the heart of Tyseley is in decline. But, the heart is still beating with some new development and investments.

Sursum Corda: Lift Up Your Hearts!
Despite the diversity that exists within the Church of Jesus Christ, it is good to
remember that the different Christian traditions hold much of their liturgical
heritage in common. For example, when we come together in worship, most
Christian liturgies over the last two centuries have in some way called us to lift up
our hearts to the living God.
This beautiful invitation is fittingly tied to the celebration of the Lord's Supper, and
it usually precedes the "eucharistic" (or "thanksgiving") prayer prior to the setting
apart of the elements of bread and wine.
This sursum corda (which means "Let us lift up our hearts" in Latin) bids us to
acknowledge our absolute dependence on God, who desires to commune with us.
